January Happenings

Oh, January where did you go? ALOT has happened this month. Maycee has had many dance performances, babysitting late nights with the Martineaus (playing school and decorating faces...little stinkers!) , a trip to CO to finalize work and move, and last but not least-bought our family a new casa. WOW-my head is spinning just thinking about all the things we have to do for our big move in one month. There are so many things about AZ we will miss but we are excited for this new adventure we get to experience together as a family.

Pinewood Derby time

Besides being totally sick with a fever Easton's "Ute Buster" car was a success at the pinewood derby! His only request when building his car with Nate-a BYU car. My favorite car of the night looked just like a chocolate hersey bar . Pretty clever-we might just have to copy that idea for next year!

Brown eyes

Came across this picture tonight and it made me smile. A smile with happiness.
A smile of pure joy. A smile that is BIG with delight that #4 has brown eyes just like her momma!!

Parties

This birthday girl woke up to breakfast in bed (in our bed!) and presents to open before school. She got a new stinkin adorable bike and other treasures that made her quite happy. Taco Bell was the choice of lunch with her mama. She brought cupcakes to her class and as we walked in they all broke out in song! She had a BIG smile on her face! She was in heaven just knowing she was finally 7 and it was her special day! This year is our "off" year for big bday parties. So Maycee choose her 2 best friends (Hallee and Peyton) to get pedicures with her as her special treat. Of course they all choose pink, different shades, with flowers on their big toes! Afterwards we enjoyed the yummiest cupcakes at a darling new cake store by our house. What a great night, thanks for turning 7 Maycee!
Nates special day started with breakfast in bed as well. A tradition in our house! He was all ready for work and we made him climb back in bed! He insisted on no big parties this year for his 35th so I obeyed. We took him to lunch and brought donuts to work. He got some new "warm" stuff for Colorado and lots of hugs and kisses! Happy 35th!

SEVEN

It's hard to imagine seven years ago this little ray of sunshine entered our lifes. Maycee is a sweetheart who I just can't get enough of. She is my little buddy and I am honored to be her mom. Some of the things that I love about Maycee are:

* is all about fashion and looking cute

* is an amazing dancer

*wants to be a teacher when she grows up and own her own dance studio, plus be a mom!

*comes crawling into our bed every morning about 4 am to snuggle

* 19 kids and counting (can name off all 19 kids!) and Divine Design are some of her top shows

* asks everyday when we can have another baby because our baby (Brinklee) is too big. "I like them when they are tiny mom."

*thinks that her cousin Breanne is the sun, the moon and the stars

*puts together outfits from my closet along with LOTS of jewelry and she always looks adorable

* likes her cereal soggy

*has a huge sweet tooth like her mama-gum and chips are her staples

I could keep going on and on... I just love this girl so much. Thanks for being ours- baby girl. We love you and hope your Birthday is super great, just like YOU!!!

Happy New Year

WOW-sparklers and fireworks, lots of kids, Martinelli's, horns, and pots and pans at midnight (10:00!!). Hope your New Years Eve was as ROCKIN as ours!! Here's to a great year

Elfie

Meet Elfie our new Elf. I had to make a special call to Santa one day after we had some naughtiness and here's what the Jolly Old Man brought the Budges. Elf on a Shelf=MAGIC! Our kids loved finding him every morning and leaving him notes. Maycee and Tealer had a sleepover before she moved to CO. We are glad we are moving to the same place so these two cuties will still have each other. Here's to Elfie and here's to moms that don't have a Christmas elf-go get one for next year!!!

Christmas part 1

Merry Christmas 2010. Santa found his way to our house! He brought me a Vitamix-man, I am in love!! Maycee wanted clothes, fake nails make-up and a "teaching kit". Her wishes were granted. She is also a proud owner of a new dog-Licka. No, it is not real-its a "furr-real" dog! We will never a real dog!! Easton got a DSI, Star Wars DS game, clothes, Star wars legos and nerf guns/gear. Nerf wars are a daily occurence around here. Cannon Man got legos , a helicopter, more nerf gear and guns, swords. Brinklee got her pink "scoota", a baby and a pink pig pillow pet. Lets not forget the 3 pillow pets that entered our home- a dolpin, unicorn and a pig. Why couldn't I have thought of such a brillant money maker!Christmas always come and goes so fast. We hope your Christmas was as merry as ours!

Christmas part 2

Vegas as become a tradition the day after Christmas the past few years. We always love to go to my sisters house -our "1/2 way mark" from Utah to meet up with Gram-Z and Papa, Brian and Nicole and the lastest addition this year-baby Annibelle! Oh, my kids could not get enough of her. They wanted to be by her side 24/7. She is the sweetest baby and we are so happy she has joined our family. The best part of the trip was seeing my dad give Annibelle a Grandpa's blessing in the family Christening dress that is 100 years old. All the girls in family have been blessed in it so its a pretty special little dress for a special little baby. The weather was perfect therefore lots of park fun and playing football. Lots of coloring, playing games and in Nate's words "Chilaxin!" There is something so magical about cousins. My kids LOVE them and I am so grateful for such an amazing family.
