Check out my Slide Show!

Chop, Chop!

Maycee has been asking to cut her hair for awhile now. I wasn't sure if I was ready to cut off her long piggies. Over the Christmas break we decided what the heck-its only hair and it will grow back. She LOVES it. She walks up to total strangers and says, "I cut my hair!" It looks super cute on her AND its super easy to style!

Bath time

A few nights ago Maycee and Easton were taking a bath and I ran out for a split second to grab their pj's. When I came back in they were laughing hysterically.Low and behold Mr. climber Cannon had climbed in with them! He was FULLY dressed and just cheesing up at me. We all had a good laugh. Cannon didn't want to be left out, cute kid. He likes to be right in the action. As a mom I love watching their relationships grow. Now that Cannon is getting older to interact with them its cute to see how much he LOVES Maycee and Easton. If they are outside , he wants out. If they are eating something, he's hungry too. I hope they will always be best friends and be proud to be each others siblings.

We have an announcement

NO, I am not pregnant but apparently Maycee is! I was in the office this afternoon working on Christmas cards and in walks Maycee looking like this. Luckily the camera was right there. OH, Maycee what are we going to do with you?! She CRACKS me up! She is very into babies, having big boobs and pregnant bellies. When you all read our Christmas card about Maycee, you will be able to understand how much she wants a baby(her mommy to have a baby!). I don't think that is going to happen for awhile but hopefully she will like the "baby"Santa is bringing her.

Flashback Friday

This picture is of Easton when he was 18 months. He found a pair of glasses and thought he was so funny. It feels like yesterday that Easton was this age. The age that Cannon is now. I love Easton and am so thankful he is our oldest. He is such a good example to Maycee and Cannon. He is always trying to do what is right and I am glad he is a part of our family.

Snip-its

My cousins little girl Hayley had a birthday party bash at Snip-its. Maycee could hardly sleep for days knowing she got to dress up in a princess costume(she chose Snow White), get her hair done and get makeup!! Oh what fun when you are almost four-hair, makeup and dress ups are ALL of Maycee's favorite things. We've had to slowly make the makeup disappear because she was breaking out in a rash on her face. Which she probably got from applying makeup ALL over. Sunday she walked down the stairs looking like BOZO the Clown (I wished I had taken a picture)! She was ready to go to church! The little Sweetheart. I LOVE that she has so much confidence and not a care in the world about what others think. I being her mom think she is the most adorable little princess ever, even if she does have makeup and a rash all of her face!

Flashback Friday(or should I say this week Sunday!)

These pics are of Christmas 2005, our last Christmas in Ohio. We had a tradition every year to go to Lake Farm Park to see Santa, go to Santa's workshop to make a toy, see the lights and go on a sleigh ride. SOOO much fun, every year. I miss this cute place. This year it was-FREEZING! But we still had a great time welcoming in the Christmas season with Christmas festivities and being with GREAT friends The Gronemans!

We had such a great Thanksgiving. We were so lucky to host all the Budges. Thanksgiving day we had Nate's sister and her family here, and our good friends The Goates and The Weirs. We had a yummy dinner, great company, and entertainment by the little girl dancers-Heidee, Maycee, Hallee and Elle. The next day Grandpa and Grandma Budge and Nate's brothers Brad and Jon arrived with their families. We had fun going to the Zoo, Peter Piper Pizza, shopped, got pedicures, and had fun just being together. We are thankful for this time of year for family and friends.

Off to shop after eating a yummy breakfast at the clubhouse.

What a great weekend-20 girls, GORGEOUS house in Scottsdale, dancing our hearts out at Barcelona's, yummy food, soaking our feet in the bathtub, facials, staying up late talking, SHOPPING, laughing till our belly's hurt, and spending time with wonderful Cortina friends! Love you all girls. Thanks for a FABULOUS weekend!

Flashback Friday

I'm going to jump on the band wagon here and start doing "Flashback Fridays" since alot of my friends do it, I figured I will too! A bunch of us dental student wives drove five hours to attend Time Out for Women( Cincinatti, Ohio Spring 2005). What a BLAST of a weekend!! We stayed up late talking, shopped at the Gap outlet (found some great deals), went out to eat and enjoyed a spiritual and unlifting women's conference. There are days that I WOULD go back to Ohio. I don't miss being poor or using WIC coupons but I do miss my sweet friends who were like family since we only had each other. My Ohio friends(there are many girls not in this picture) are forever friends and I absolutely tresure them all. You all influenced and still do influence me in someway or another. I think we should have a Time Out for Women Reunion? Are you in girls?! I will travel to whomever and wherever. Who's coming?!

Jammin

My friend Tresure and I made busted out some strawberry jam yesterday. As the kids played we cut, blended, stirred and poured strawberries and LOTS of sugar to make the yummy creation of jam. One of my favorite things is homemade freezer jam on Grandma Sycamore's bread. Thanks Tresure for the great day. I think this is going to become a new tradition. Don't you all wish you lived next door so you could try our jam?!!

Do they get any cuter than this?!

Cannon has learned to say"cheese" and then grin the BIGGEST smile you've ever seen when you flash a camera at him! Talk about melting a mommy's heart. Ohh, I just love this kid. Cannon is the cutest thing -he is always making us laugh. We are so glad he is apart of our family.

Halloween Party

This Halloween Nate and I dressed up as Nacho Libre and Escaleto. I was going to be the nun but Nate insisted I be his wrestling sidekick. Escaleto only wears red boots and blue wrestling underwear thingys. So that's what I wore except I wore nude color tights and leotard. Nate tried on one Nacho costume that was a one piece flesh jumpsuit that would NOT go up and over his arms(it ripped while trying SOOO desperately to make it fit!) so we bought the sleeve-less puffy vest version! I will never forget Nate in the dressing room trying to squeeze into the costume-I was peeing my pants laughing! We had such a fun time at our friends party. We kareoked, had great food, cat-walked and had prizes for costumes. Its always fun to have an excuse to dress up and be crazy for a night! Happy Halloween

PS-We got runner up for best couple costume along with Dustin and Bridgett Carroll(here in this picture) Hef and Playmate won!

Viva Las Vegas

After the weekend in St. George for the marathon we went back to Las Vegas to stay with my sister. This time we decided to take the kids down to the strip. We are in Vegas alot but we don't ever go do all the things downtown. The kids favorite was Circus Circus, I loved the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, Nate's top pick was the Coke factory(He's a Coke addict!) and Cannon loved the M&M Factory. I think we could of all watched the Biolago Water Show all night-that's always the BEST! We took the kids to see the "TI Sirens" at Treasure Island. OOOH my, it has changed from this great pirate show to a bunch of hootchie momma's out there dnacing Vegas Style for the pirates. I don't think we'll stop to see that one next time. Overall, it was a great trip and like always SO fun to be together.

I did it!

I'm going to start off saying that ANYONE can run a marathon. If I can do it anyone can. I think anyone should do it because it really is the most amazing experience. I saw all walks of like out there running. I saw 12 year old boys running with their dads and a couple who had to have been at least 80 holding hands! Here are some of the highlights for me:

1. Traveling to the marathon with my friend Tresure and two of her kids. The kids had fun all packed in the back. Traveling is always better with a friend or with your hubbie!

2. Waking up at 4:00 am after talking to Tresure for most of the night and then tossing and turning for the rest of the night! Catching a bus(I've not been on a school bus for years!) that took us up to the start of the race. A I was getting on the bus I ran into a dear friends husband-Tyler Fish. So fun to catch up and wish him good luck.

3. Thank goodness for bonfires-it was FREEZING! We all huddled next to a fire to stay warm till the race began.

4. Watching people run for the bushes, trees whatever shelter they could find to go pee before the race and during the race. Thanks to Tresure we had toilet paper. She carried it on her running belt the whole way. People would comment as were running about how great it was to have toilet paper. Tresure told everyone, "If you can catch me, you can have a piece." She cracks me up!

5. Loving the ICY HOT that volunteers rubbed on my legs more than once. You could run up to them at the water stations and they had tubs of the stuff. They would quickly lather you up and off you'd go running.

6. Having people cheer me on made me feel like I can do this. The cutest little kids that would give you high-five as you ran pass made me feel like a million bucks. Seeing little kids made me think of my own and made me want to run faster to see them at the end. St. George was so supportive and so many families came out to cheer us on.

7. Seeing the finish line made me want to bawl like a baby. I DID IT! A year ago I ran my first 10K and to think now I had just ran 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 47 minutes, I was pretty proud of myself. I almost didn't run the marathon at all. I had been having knee problems and stopped running on it for a few weeks. I tried running again and same thing-killer knee. I thought there is no way I can run a marathon if my knee is flaring up at six miles. So I gave it a rest. I only had trained up to 14 miles but after talking to lots of people and knowing I had friends running it with me -I decided to do it. SO glad I did! I felt so good the entire way. My knee didn't hurt at all. I guess it was all the Tylenol, icy hot and prayers, lots of prayers! Will I do it again? Yes, Yes, Yes! Anybody in?

PS-The only picture Nate took is of me and Cannon. As soon as I get more pics from friends, I will post them.

Fall

Maycee and Easton playing in the leaves

Our old house

We'd take walks down this street everyday.

Publish Post

I was going through old pictures and found these pictures of fall in Ohio! I LOVE fall-it is my favorite season. I am missing it right now. We don't get the pretty leaves that change colors here(but we do ger 60/70's all winter!). I guess we'll have to take a drive to Sedona or Pinetop to get my "fall weather fix!"
