Little Getaway

Here a few pics from our getaway to the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale. My cousin Camille watched our kids. So they had fun playing with cousins and we had the best time just being together. It's the off season here in AZ for all the resorts so there was hardly anyone there. We felt so taken care of. We wished we could stay longer. Can I just say I love being married to my best friend-its the greatest!

PS-Nate's going to die that I posted the one of us on the bed in our bathrobes! I just thought it was so cute and a good "summary" of our weekend! :)

7 reasons I love Nate....

1. He is the best daddy ever.The kids want to spend every second with him whether it's wrestling, swimming or just hanging out-their Daddy is their Hero
2. He loves the gospel and has the strongest testimony. He is an example to me of how I want to live my life.
3. He is such a hard worker. He has become a great dentist and he looks so cute in scrubs! I love that he gets so excited about teeth.
4. He loves to have FUN! He's such a kid at heart. I don't think all the Transformers he continues to bring home are for Easton but for himself. He told me after he took Easton to go see the movie," I had a tears coming down my face. It was so awesome.! "
5. He's such a wonderful husband-so supportive and always willing to help me. He's the best breakfast/pancake maker ever!

FHE @ The Diamondbacks

For family night we went to the Diamondback Baseball game. We had alot fun. We sat in the bleachers which I've decided is the way to go with little kids. We had tons of room and sure made our little selves right at home-taking up the whole row! Easton's favorite part was eating peanuts and then smashing shells on the ground. Maycee was the biggest cheerleader-cheering and clapping everytime she heard us yell. Cannon loved the baseball Nate bought him. He is in love with balls right now and can say"ball" and "throw." Nate and I's favorite part was sitting in an air-conditioned baseball stadium. The stadium roof can open and close. I guess the Diamondbacks never have to worry about the weather!

My mom called wanting to know if I wanted to come help here with her family reunion. We weren't going to go up because we just got back from Utah, kids are in school and there is no way we were about to drive 10 hours again! My cute mom wanted me up there so bad that she offered to fly me and Cannon up. So away we went! It was a short weekend trip(sorry friends for not seeing any of you) but I am so glad we went. I realized on this trip how important family is. It's what this life is all about. Even though we don't live next door the unity that comes from being a family is real. The Phelps Reunion went really well-great to see family I haven't seen in awhile. Mom somehow talked me into role-playing "Grandma Flo". I wore her favorite teal polyester suit! Talking about her made me miss her. She was always the life of the party. She was so determined and set her mind to do great things and she did. Her life was perserved many times and I am grateful for the time I had with her on this earth .We were able to be there for Katelyn's blessing as well. What a special day. She was blessed in Great-Grandma Amelia Kate's dress that we've all been blessed in. What a quick but wonderful weekend. I love you Mom and Dad-thanks for being mine!

Starting Kindergarten

I really can't believe Easton is old enough to be in Kindergarten. It was a happy day. He was thrilled to ride his scooter to school. I think it made him big-riding his ride to school. We all walked to school along with the whole neighborhood(it was a zoo!) and we realized we will never do that again untill it cools off. We came back absolutely-DRENCHED in sweat! So we now drive to school! When I picked him up from school at 12:00 he asked which one of his friends he could play with. I told him most of his friends are in all day kindergarten. I explained why he wasn't still in school- Cortina had a lottery for all day kindergarten and they picked 95 kids,Easton was 97th. So he is #2 on the waiting list. So they say He could still get all day as kids drop out or don't show after the first 10 days-we will see. He likes his teacher though and is making lots of new friends. And I get him all afternoon to play and be together. I love that boy and thank my Heavenly Father everyday I get to be his mom.
Maycee started pre-school at Ms. Jodi's. She goes three times a week and LOVES it. All of her little friends are in it and even better its right behind my house.
