Memorial Day weekend

This post is LONG overdue but here it is. We went with our friends the Goates to a resort in Phoenix called Arizona Grand. We had a BLAST. I think its going to become a new tradition. The kids had a ball playing in the hotels fountains, jumping on hotel beds, making up dances and just being together. We ate at a fun restaurant that is built into the mountain-Rustlers Roost. It had a slide, a live band, and Texas long-horn bull out front. We told the kids that was their dinner-Easton didn't like that! His list of foods consists of about five things and beef is not on that list! The next day we swam and relaxed in the sun. The slides were a hit, the lazy river and the wave pool were also highlights. It felt good to have a little get-a-way even though it was only 30 minutes away. Thanks Goates for a fabulous weekend! My Baby's 2!!

I am having a really hard time believing that my baby is two today. It really seems like yesterday I had him. A BIG 8lbs 5 oz. and absolutely PERFECT! I love this kid. He has brought SO much joy to our lives. He has become quite verbal lately repeating everything you say. If you ask him how old he says, "I tree" and holds up five fingers! He makes us crack up everyday with the things he says or just his adorable little personality. He is all boy loving balls, cars, swimming, jumping on the tramp, jumping off anything and climbing anything! We love this kid and are SO glad he entered our family two years ago, June 12 2006 @ 11:50 am. Happy Birthday little guy!

* wears his hat that's size 6-12 months. As long as he has a hat whenever Easton is wearing a hat he doesn't care what size it is or that it no longer fits his large head. He has no idea how hilarious he looks! Good thing he got a new hat for his birthday!
* Sings to himself when he goes to sleep- "Night Night Cannon."

Goggles Galore!

Tonight the kids taught Cannon how to use goggles! Oh the sure JOY on his face when he realized he could see under water and have his eyes not hurt. He looked so dang cute with his googly eyes!!We are loving the pool-I say it everyday day when its 100 + outside. I am SOO glad we have a pool. It's just so nice to jump in and cool off anytime of the day! We are in our last week of swim lessons. We have been LIVING in our swimsuits. Going to swim lessons 3 times a day for the last few weeks-its wearing me out! Soo glad for our great swim teacher-Katie and for teaching Cannon to swim. I am so proud of him. "I go swimming" and Monkey Walk" have become his two favorite phrases since swimming. Easton and Maycee are fish and could swim all day. Maycee is officially swimming. She swims the whole length of the pool and back and then goes for MORE!! I'm gonna say it again-I 'm so glad we have a pool.

Fathers and Sons/Visitors!!

Nate's parents drove down from Utah to go to our Fathers and Sons. Thom Budge is a DIE HARD camper! Easton was so excited to go camping with Grandpa. Nate's sister Lori also flew down with her two girls Elle and Olivia. Maycee loves her cousin Elle and was so excited to have her come play. The boys set up the tent Thursday night in the front living room. The queen size air mattress wouldn't fit in our four man tent. Time for an upgrade! Off to Wallies they went to get the "Family-Tent!" Nate nows trying to talk his NON-camping wife into tying out the new tent! We'll see...Hilton or the Woods? Or maybe just not when I'm pregnant!Friday afternoon the men were off and so the girls decided to have a GNO! We went to Carraba's for dinner, went shopping, and then hit Gelato Freeze(our favorite ice cream store!). We love having visitors-the kids loved swimming, helping Elle get her ears pierced, dancing and singing to Grandma Budges piano playing and beautiful voice and of course- eating lots of PIZZA, a Budge Family favorite!

Dance Recital

Maycee had her dance recital last week. She loved wearing makeup and performing on the stage! She is quite the little dancer. She's worn her dance costume all week. Way to DANCE Maycee!
