Future Techies

Last night the kids were all on our bed with their laptops. Easton had his Nintendo DS and Maycee had her new princess V-smile laptop. It was so nice to have them all playing together let alone all happy! We had one of those days.( You know the days where you wish you could escape the MADNESS, snap your fingers and appear on a tropical island with no one but yourself. Yeah right-back to reality Katie!)
Cannon wanted right in on the action so he took it upon himself to go all the way downstairs into the playroom to get the play laptop, carry it back upstairs and climb onto our big bed(with help from Easton). Sweet boy, he thinks he's as big as they are. In our world today kids get cell phones, I-pods, and laptops at such a young age. I remember when I was six my dad bought my mom a microwave-WOW, that was a huge deal to be able to warm up something in 10 seconds. I remember in high school when the Internet became big. I can't imagine life without blogs, email, Internet. I think of the things that I've seen in my lifetime and its crazy to think what our kids will see developed in their lifetime.

That is so funny! Beautiful bed by the way. Maybe I can just take a tropical vacation to your house. :) When we were home for Christmas, Cooper's cousin came over to play and they all 3 were on the couch...Cooper with the DS, Gunner with the Leapster, and Tate with his Gameboy. We just had to laugh. The way cousins "play" these days. :) We also laughed each time Cooper asked us to pause the TV while he went pee (and there wasn't Tivo on their TV's). He didn't understand why we couldn't just pause or rewind it! Poor kids! Wonder what their kids will be doing someday! :)

It's weird how we all expect to have today what our parents worked for years and years to get. And now I'm even passing it on to my kids. Molly with her I-pod nano and already starting the blogging addiction. I'm glad Dillon is still content to just destroy things, although it would make my life a lot easier if he would get into something electronic and hand held. Anyway, Your kids are so cute and so grown up. I love Maycee's hair. Oh and I grew up in Austin, all my family still lives there.
