Where do I even start?! Seriously-the most amazing trip we've taken! I can start by saying I want to go back today!
Sunday-left Vegas EARLY (6:00am), got 3 hours of sleep thanks to driving after the BYU football game and having too much fun with my parents making us get into Vegas at 1 am and woke up at 3:45 to be at our 6:oo am flight=CRAZY! But got into Maui at 11:30 and instantly feel in LOVE with the beauty of that place
Monday-we slept in, explored, snorkled, layed out and swam at the many pools.
Tuesday-Road to Hana, which was an all day experience but a most if you go to Maui. We'd follow all the other cars and stop along the road and hike and eat the local pineapple (YUM!), seven sacred pools, Bamboo forest-most dense forest I've ever been through. Hiking to the top of a mountain and then seeing the most stunning waterfall ever! Haleakula volcano, driving and more driving, laughing
Wednesday-played tennis! Yes we played tennis for the first time in 10 years of marriage. You should of seen us. We were a laughing matter. We told ourselves we weren't going to leave till we hit the ball over the net at least 10 ten times. It took over an hour!! So fun, shopped, explored, ate more yummy food-this time at Hard Rock Cafe and then saw a movie
Thursday--Lanai Snorkel tour. We took at boat out to the island of Lanai. The water was so cystal clear. We saw hundreds of dolphins. They would swim up to our boat and do tricks while we all snapped pics. This was a time that I thought of my kids and wished they were there. They would of loved it. There were only a handful of times I missed my kids and this was one. But Nate and I had a great time snorkeling and seeing the coolest fish. I rented a rash guard from the boat when they announced the water was cooler than Maui, a whooping 70 degrees. I am not a fan of cold water so off I went with my $10. It helped for a while. After an hour now with hands and legs that were numb and lips that were blue, I figured I'd go back to the boat. I filmed Nate and all the other silly looking people with their masks and fins on looking down in the water! I got a kick out of it!
Friday-
Sunday-late check-out!,last minute shopping for kids, drove to Wailea, killed some time at the Maui Aquarium and then boarded our plan at 8:00 pm for our fabulous red-eye plane ride back to our kiddos. I shed a few tears, I was so sad to leave. I could of stayed weeks longer. Nate told me to remember, "It's not good-bye. It's see you soon!" That cheered me up quite nicely. So till next time-Aloha and Mahalo!
Friday

* The Westin Villas-love that place and want go back over and over again
