I took Brinklee in for her 2 month check up-she was 11.6 pounds and almost 23 inches long! She is growing way too fast. I am loving the chubby cheeks and her rolly legs. She is so strong and can stand on her legs while holding her on your lap. She loves to smile, cooo and get kisses under her chubby chin. This baby has brought such a peaceful feeling into our home. I'll be honest four kids is a little crazy at times. I wonder everyday how I'm ever going to be able to help each kid meet their needs, let alone my own. We have many days that we stay in our pjs till noon ( or all day!), cook Mac and Cheese for dinner, skip baths, leave dirty dishes overnight in my sink. But at the end of the day all that matters is my realatonship with my kids and my Heavenly Father. The more kids I have I realize how important this is and not that my floor is sparkling clean and that my kids don' t pick their noses. Going back to "first gear" after having a baby is always hard for me. I think thats why I loved this lesson given on Sunday so much. This part really hit home for me:
"If you have children who are grown and gone, in all likelihood you have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn’t appreciate that time of life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Rather than dwelling on the past, we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future.
If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly.
Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important—and what is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know. Wrote William Shakespeare, “They do not love that do not show their love.”3 We will never regret the kind words spoken or the affection shown. Rather, our regrets will come if such things are omitted from our relationships with those who mean the most to us." Talk given by Pres. Monson "Finding Joy in the Journey"
So this post is for me -to remind me of the four "Treasures" I have at home. As a new mother of 4 I am going to be more patient, less stressed, more loving and ENJOY the journey! because I know this precious time go way too fast.

I loved this post Katie. I'm realizing this very thing more and more every day. And like you said, it seems like the more kids you have the more you realize what's really important...I'm sure I will even gain more patience, wisdom, and love once I have a fourth, because even now with 3 I've learned SOOO much. I'm trying to enjoy each day just being a mom, and not let the messy house, and laundry get to me as much...because yah, we COULD be on top of those at all times, but then our children would pay the price. You're amazing. Love ya!
So what I needed to hear...thank you.
inspirational! I hope I am half the mother you are!
Who is CK? You have now blog or contact info-who are you?
I love that.. You said it so well and I am so learning the same thing especially about the house not being cleaned and learning to provide each child with their needs.
Those pictures are about the cutest things ever. I loved your post too...I think most mothers with multiple children can totally relate to what you said. Jammies until noon, showers and baths forgotten, etc. It can be crazy, but you wouldn't trade it for the world!
i love the pictures and i love the post. it's so what i have been thinking about lately. i need to just relax a little and realize that not everyday has to be some amazing day. sometimes we all need a little day to just relax and just be with eachother. you are a great mom. i wish we lived closer.
oh and ck might be charity.
She is such a dolly. Thanks for the post much needed.
She is so precious, and so are YOU! Thanks for sharing that great reminder by Pres. Monson--perspective is everything! Give everyone hugs and kisses from us!!
Thank you so much for posting this! I think we all need this reminder way more often! You are such a wonderful mom!! Could Brinklee be any cuter??
Katie, love the post. So TRUE! My favorite song is Trace Atkins "your gonna miss this" If you havent heard it, listen to it. Everytime I feel overwhelmed by everything, I think of that song. Glad somone els stays in there jammers til noon, or so, love those days! Can't wait to see you. Aly
Thanks for this post Katie! Its always a good to remember what's really important in life. I really like my house clean...but that isn't what's most important or what I'll remember when my kids are grown and gone.
Great post Katie. It's always a good thing to be brought back to reality of what we are here for and what is most important. Enjoy that baby every minute!!
She is such a cutie! I totally agree with you. Sometimes we are in our pj's all day as well, and the house is a train wreck, but none of it matters.
