Christmas Eve

We had a quiet Christmas this year with just our little family. Christmas Eve we went to see the temple lights. The kids thought it was so cold but enjoyed seeing all the lights. We went to Bass Pro Shop and sat on Santa's lap-that was a BIG hit. Came home ordered pizza, acted out the Nativity scene( I was the donkey, Maycee of course was Mary, Brinklee was Baby Jesus, Easton was a Shepard, Cannon was Joseph and Nate was the narrator!), opened up sibling gifts, read Christmas stories and then our favorite tradition-REINDEER FOOD! The kids after they were all ready for bed sprinkled reindeer food on the grass to make the reindeer come quickly to our house! The kids raced up to bed as fast as the could and had sweet dreams of the next morning-CHRISTMAS!!

COLD?! In Arizona? I know, I know... Andrew said he was freezing there when it was like 60, because you get acclimated...

Looks like a fun little Christmas! We did Christmas with our little family... it was kind of nice! Although when I got on the phone with all the family later in the day, it was kind of sad. Love the manger pic!

Hi Kate & Nate! I found the link to your blog through Jon's blog/facebook. It's fun to see what is happening with your family. It looks like you had a fun Christmas Eve, but I do have a question. What do you use for reindeer food? That sounds like a fun tradition!

Reindeer food---what a smart idea to get the kids in bed fast! I'll have to remember that when mine start staying up let and I have no more control over bed time. I LOVE the Nativity picture! Such cuties!
